New version of CRGround® now available (27/03/2026)
The latest version of CRGround® incorporates a highly requested improvement by engineering firms: the ability to select the calculation standard for safety values in grounding systems.
✔️ European standard: EN 50522 / IEC 61936
✔️ American standard: IEEE Std 80
✔️ Selection of person weight in IEEE Std 80 (50 kg or 70 kg)
✔️ Automatic calculation of admissible step and touch voltages according to the selected standard
✔️ Report generated taking into account the selected standard
Ideal for national and international projects in a single software.
CRGround
Professional software for the calculation, analysis and justification of grounding systems in electrical installations according to international standards.Presentation of the new CRGround software
On Monday 19/9/2022 at 11h (Spain time), this simple and powerful software was presented in a free online session through Microsoft Teams. Here is the recording of the session for those who could not watch it live. For any questions about CRGround®, feel free to email me at carrolbl@die.upv.es.
Professional software for the study of grounding systems
CRGround® is a professional software developed by the Inielectric group for the advanced analysis of grounding systems in electrical installations, such as substations, transmission towers, transformer centers, generators, and other infrastructures.
Its purpose is to help engineering firms, consultants, and electrical professionals accurately calculate grounding resistance, ground potentials, and safety values, while generating easily exportable results and technical reports ready for justification.
The new version expands the capabilities of the software by allowing calculations based on both European and American standards for safety voltages, making it especially useful for projects with international regulatory requirements.
Key features of CRGround®:
✔️ Calculation of grounding resistance and Kr coefficient in uniform and two-layer soils
✔️ Calculation of ground potentials and evaluation of step, touch, and transferred voltages
✔️ Calculation of admissible safety values according to EN 50522 / IEC 61936 or IEEE Std 80
✔️ Selection of person weight in IEEE Std 80 to adapt calculations to different safety criteria
✔️ Visualization of results through interactive graphs easily exportable for technical documentation
✔️ Automatic generation of a basic report with the main calculation results
Practical advantages for engineering:
✔️ Easy import of the electrode from AutoCAD or *.dxf files
✔️ Guided and user-friendly interface designed to simplify data input and reduce errors
✔️ Ability to justify projects using European or American standards within a single working environment

We recommend always using the latest version, as it may include functional improvements, regulatory extensions, and important fixes.
Information about CRGround®
Once installed, the CRMagPLUS.exe executable can be found in the root directory CRGround.exe, from which a shortcut is created on the desktop. When the software starts for the first time, it will search for the device's license on our server. If not found, it will allow creating a license request to send by email to carrolbl@die.upv.es, including some data to identify the license in the future (for demo licenses, these data can simply be a name or alias, as they will automatically expire on the set date).
CRGround® is now available as a commercial version. If you wish to purchase a license, request a temporary license, or obtain the order documentation, you can contact us directly at carrolbl@die.upv.es.
The new version is especially useful for engineering firms that need to work with both European and American standards within a single tool.
CRGround® licensing options:
✔️ Perpetual license for one computer: 800€ + VAT
✔️ Additional licenses for other computers: 500€ + VAT
✔️ 30-day temporary license: 100€ + VAT
The perpetual license allows permanent use of the software on the licensed computer as long as the product is not discontinued.
An online training course on grounding systems in electrical installations, where the detailed use of CRGround® is explained through complete examples and practical cases.
Participation in the course allows the use of the software in trial mode during the training and offers a €100 discount on the purchase of a perpetual license for current and former students.
If you have not received training, you can consult the complete manual we have prepared in the download area.
Try CRGround® and discover a tool designed for professional grounding calculations with updated regulatory criteria.
If you wish to download the software, request a license, resolve a technical question, or report any issue, you can contact us directly at carrolbl@die.upv.es.
We will continue incorporating improvements and enhancements into the software to meet the real needs of engineering firms and electrical professionals.
New feature - selection of safety standards
The new version of CRGround® allows selecting the standard used for calculating safety values in the ground, distinguishing between the European standard EN 50522 / IEC 61936 and the American standard IEEE Std 80
In the case of IEEE Std 80, the software also allows selecting the person’s weight (50 kg or 70 kg), automatically incorporating this choice into the calculation of admissible voltages and the generated report
